Default Problem after changing TCP

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I followed the steps outlined here http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...ip-no-bes.html and visited a couple of sites that display your IP address.

First off, I am running an 8700 with OS 4.5 installed, and on a BES at 4.0, and I also have 4 BIS accounts on this same device. When using the built in browser, it displays the IP address of our company (all users in the corporation have this same IP) but from Opera Mini Version 4 it displays an address from the RIPE region (presumably the developers of Opera) but on Opera Mini version 3 it displays a RIM IP address.

Now the problem. My BES e-mails are taking forever to reach my device, I have tested this with other 8700 OS ver 4.5 users, and other device users (7290, 8310, 8320) and it appears to be only my device. I have hard booted the device several times, and I have removed the APN from the TCP, and hard booted the device and I am still have delays receiving my BES e-mails.

Since removing the APN, I now get a RIM address on the default browser and RIPE region IP's on both Opera's. How can I totally remove the APN setup.

Thanks

With the apn info removed you have removed the APN setup. However, BES connected devices will use MDS in place of that TCP connection. That's why you see your company IP.

Yes, I understand that. The problem is that it is not using the MDS as now I get a RIM IP address.
I wiped the unit, and reloaded it. Had my BES admin remove me completely, and then re-add me but to no avail. I'm going to try switching devices and then back again and see if that works.
