I would appreciate If somebody would assist me.
I'm a Mac OSX user and need to get a Blackberry. I have no much idea of what to get as Blackberry and if it would be compatible with my OS X10.4.4 version.
Need to travel to Europe an Latin America and connectivity is a must!
I have a 7105t (T-Mobile) and use pocketmac to sync up my contacts, calendar, and tasks since you can't use the desktop software as it does not run on macs. I'm running OSX 10.4.5 on a G5 imac, but I have no idea whether pocketmac works on the intelMacs.
I would appreciate If somebody would assist me.

Make sure you get a GSM/GPRS BlackBerry. The 1x/CDMA Blackberries only work in North America and a few other areas around the World.

As a fellow forum member said go with a GSM (Cingular or T'Mo) Blackberry, as GSM is the standard in cellular technology and can be used in Europe, Latin America, and here in the US.
jrusso, are you using BB Email service? is this a personal phone or a business one? i ask because i am considering a BB for personal use, but wondering what to do for Push Email Solution, as my service operator doesnt support BB. can i get email through BB internet service or something? cani syn mails with Mail.app?
sorry slow connection, editing will take too long.
have you tried using the 8700 as a modemwith the mac? is the feature stil unsupported? how successful has the bluetooth sync been?
Are you guys using PocketMac on a BlackBerry with a BES connection? The little notes and cautions on the PocketMac site make it look like working with a BES-actived BlackBerry is a real hassle.
That coupled with the horrid support I've (not) gotten from PocketMac in general, and the repeated 'loss of our support database' makes me very leery of using PocketMac BlackBerry....
