Default Nextel & Text Messaging

Please Login to Remove!

Any one experience REALLY slow text messaging with Nextel. I'm not sure if it's the BB or the service. I sometimes receive text messages hours later. I'm going to cancel the stupid service since it doesn't work right. Just wanted to know if anyone else was having the problem.

No, its not your BB. Its Nextel and the text service is like that no matter what phone or BB you have. I just use the email on my bb to send text. Its works very quickly.

Cuz I'm the only one of my friends with a blackberry and if I want to send them a quick message, this is a nice way to do it.

How do you do that? Teleflip doesn't work quickly either. I know you can send text to [email address], but what about the others?

Using teleflip is still a pain in de axx -- I have to manually create a new email address for all the cell numbers with Teleflip.

On the other thread, people were talking about turn on MMS (by Activate BB --> take out the battery --> then you see MMS in the wheel-menu). I tried, but it won't send anything out.

Sounds like we have to give it up

I have can send MMS. You have to sign up for the $8 / month plan from Nextel. It still doesn't work right. I'm going to cancel that plan and request all my money back. It sucks, don't even bother signing up.

How much does it cost? $8 in addition to unlimited email? I am on a corp contract, not sure if using MMS is covered.
