Default Blackberry Curve 9300 Battery!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, I got a new battery the other day, the one mentioned above, and it has been "draining" in half a day! When I first got the phone new, the battery didnt drain till the end of the day, then it only lost one bar of charge, untill it gradually got more of course. But now I am really puzzled as when the battery has got to the point where there are 2 bars of charge left, it tells me its drained, and then switches the phone off!! So I go and charge it back up again and when I first plug it in, there is a Red empty battery icon instead of the regualr white one. Then only a minute or two later, the battery is 3/4s full again!! At this point it doesnt take long to charge it up so its 100% full again!!!

I have since turned off the wifi. Turned off Blue tooth and lowered the strength of the back light from 80% to 20%.

Could it be that all the photos on the phone are causing it to lose its charge? Anyway I have taken them off now so we will see what happens. But I really dont understand why the phone is telling me the battery is drained when its not showing that, especially as its a new battery anyway.

Can anyone help please.

Thanks

press and hold the menu button to make sure that you are not doing multi task at the back. There should be only 5 icon default. 2nd, turn off GPS location. 3rd, turn off 3G network by choosing 2G when you are not doing browsing.

Thanks DanielAPK, I will try that and see how I get on with the battery. Another "Fault" appeared this morning. When I am messaging someone over Twitter, and click the send button, it takes ages to send! It used to just send in a second!!
