Default Morning Email Delivery Lag After Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

I am one of those (maybe the only one) who turns their BB off at night. Until I upgraded to .0.979 I would always get my overnight email within a minute or two after turning it on in the morning. After the upgrade, it takes ten to twenty minutes for the overnight emails to start coming in. After that, I receive my email in the normal timely fashion.
If there is anyone else who turns their BB off at night, are you seeing the same thing?

Probably depends on where you are in the RIM 15 minute cycle. I have the auto off set for 11 PM and auto on set for 7 AM. I find mine will usually d/l within 5 to 10 minutes of turning on, but every once in a while, its about 15 minutes. Never been a bother and have really paid much attention to it since it takes me that long to wake up and get my eyes focused.

Thanks for reply.

What I don't understand is before I upgraded I would get my gmail within 2 minutes of turn on in the morning. After the OS upgrade it is closer to 20 minutes. Shouldn't the mail that is on Rim's servers that came in overnight be pushed as soon as the phone signs on in the morning? That's the way it use to work. So is this a my phone issue, an OS issue or a BIS 3.2 issue?

Hard to say since there are a couple different variables at play. Probably a combination of things or it could even be a gmail issue. I don't use gmail on my BB, so I can't compare. Let's hope a gmail user will chime in soon.
