Unhappy Help with my 8520? Internet!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I have a blackberry curve 8520 on pay as you go, with the Orange network. Today I phoned up customer service to get the GPRS settings for the internet. They deducted £5 from my credit. After I'd made the call, the gprs icon at the top of the screen became capitalised, so I thought that the internet would now be working, but it doesn't!
I tried changing my browser, but the only option I have is 'hotspot' browser, and I don't have a clue what else to do. I have tried 'host routing table' and I get a message saying my phone has been registered with the wireless network, but nothing else happens. The guy in the orange shop told me I'd need to get 'settings' for a browser, but didn't say what these settings were. Any help would be appreciated!!

Moved to 8500 section.

Do you have a true BB data plan, not a generic one?

You need to create an account here:
https://bis.eu.blackberry.com/html?brand=orangeuk

Use the "create new account" button, enter your BB's PIN and IMEI number, complete the setup.
Thsi will push the service books required to make your browser (and other data features) work.

I just tried it, and it came up with 'your device is not registered with the network' and then told me to do the routing table thing again > <

Keep trying.
Make sure you have GPRS in capitals, that you have received the "registration" message.

Once again, do you have a specific BB data plan?
