with your BB Browser, go to youtube.com, it should direct you to the mobile site, if not, enter m.youtube.com . With the 8130 Pearl that you have, make sure you do not have audio boost enabled in your media player options, or the videos will not work.

At least with the 8130 Pearl, there is some kind of conflict with audio boost and streaming media. If it is on, and you attempt to stream video, you will get the error "An error occured while trying to render the page."

I followed your instructions for my 8310 and I get an error message saying "The protocol specified is not supported by the handheld. Please try a different URL". Can I not utilize Youtube on my 8310?

Now THAT's the kind of "heads up" I like to see here...wouldn't have known that little fact. I have audio boost enabled and will take it off to see if it improves anything...I have no sound on Patches the Horse

Ok... so now mine is not working again. It loads the video on the Media Player but never starts. I tried to click the pause to play, but a window pops up and says "An error has occurred attenpting to play media"

A friend of mine said the Youtube site says they're working on a BB app. I haven't gone there myself so I don't know if this is true or not or accurate I should say as he has no reason to lie.

m.youtube.com support is coming to the Curve in the 4.5 OS due out soon. The Pearl 8130 already has the 4.3 OS, which is pretty much the same thing as the 4.5, and is why it can play the videos but our Curves can't.
Keep in mind, there are still problems being reported by both Pearl 4.3 users and Curve 4.5 beta users, so it is coming, and it does work, but there are still bugs to be ironed out.

I have the latest VZW version and have not had any problems. They might have been fixed with upgrades.
