Question G-Mail prob - "Recieved Using: UNKNOWN"

Please Login to Remove!

I can receive BIS emails from my 3 BIS accounts but only with the G-Mail acct can I NOT REPLY. I can click on Reply, start typing the message and then when I click to actually send it there is no SEND option, just Save Draft or Delete. I suspect this is because the berry cannot identify which message service was used to receive the message (see Title description)

There are no other probs whatsoever with the other two BIS accounts.

I've resent service books from the T-Mobile BIS site and talked to a "BlackBerry Expert" there. He too has sent service books - all received with no error messages attached. He tells me it must be in my G-mail settings. I have not altered any of my G-Mail settings whatsoever so I'm not sure what the culprit is here.

This all just started happening last Friday out of the blue.

I'm on v5.0.0.411 (Platform 5.2.0.31) and BES.

TIA

This is usually an issue with a corrupt service book. Try deleting the service book on the BlackBerry first then resend the service books.

I guess I've stumped the band so far.

Anyway my temporary (I hope) work-around is to have all the G-mail messages forwarded to one of the other BIS accounts.

Might have to call RIM on this one.

Wiping the unit and resending the service book will resolve the issue. Make sure you backup first. Don't do a full restore as you will just restore the problem.

Assume us Jl_Cmder to wipe.

Re full backup/selective restore - exactly which items should I NOT restore?
