Depends on if you want gps or wifi

Gps get 8310
Wifi get 8320

Neither is better. They're both different.

Between the two, do you want built in WiFi (8320) or do you want built in GPS (8310)?
That will be the deciding factor which only YOU can make.

No Blackberry device is any "better" than another.
Your needs and wants will determine which device is best for you.
If anyone tells you that one device is better than another, ignore them.

Wifi was a wanted thing for me...GPS would be good if I were to use it but don't think I would use it that much. I love the WiFi on my 8320. But like the others have posted it just depends on what you want. They will be the same other than that

hey thanks guys - I will be using the phone in india - so not too sure if the service providers have a GPSfacility.

However what I really am confused about is that alot of people have been facing technical issues with their 8320 devices (phones re-booting/ hanging) and that doesnt seem to be the case with 8310 users....is that true?

GPS is Global, and the signal comes directly from GPS satellites orbiting earth.
If you have a phone with a GPS receiver in it (8310) you can use the GPS system. It's not really carrier related.

It is not true that the 8320 has any more problems than the 8310. You're drawing inaccurate conclusions based on what you're reading.

The 8120 isn't a Curve, and the OP is trying to decide between the 8310 and 8320.
Did you mean to suggest the 8320?

Your carrier doesn't matter. As already mentioned, GPS relies on the GPS satellites (you just need line of sight to them) and the GPS software for your BB. You just need to ensure that your GPS app covers India.

Nope. People have issues with all models. How did you determine that the 8320 has "more issues"?

I haven't had any problems with my 8320...even with the beta software I don't have any resets of anything like that. Very stable of a phone

Wirelessly posted (Sex Machine)

You could always just wait a few months and grab a bold and get the best of both worlds!

I use my GPS just about everyday, so the 8310 would be a better buy for me.

I had the 8830 for a few days and didn't like it. Too large (tho I had lived with a Palm Treo for 3 years), too slippery, didn't like the case. Also no real point in getting the quad band for international because it's too expensive to use overseas--like $1.29 per minute, since it is roaming. Better to buy a cheap cell phone in Europe and load a SIM w minutes, which is what I did. So for the US, I got the Pearl....and I love it. Only drawback is small keyboard but I'm mastering that too.

I haven't found Wifi very useful. I only use the internet for Google on the go. If you're going to use it in India, however, phone calls made through Wifi might save you a bundle of cash.
