i have a problem.... i am in Jamaica and we dont use daylight saving time... i syncronize my calendar on my bb pearl with microsoft outlook calendar but my bb calendar does not show the correct time. it shows it with daylight saving time on. is there a way to set it to turn of daylight saving time. i downloaded the daylight saving time patch from the blackberry website but this seems to not help.

my time zone is (eastern -5) i am in jamaica, we dont use daylight saving time... so for example, new york and miami is one hour ahead of us even though we use the same time zone...

Try a different time zone. Try Bogata -5. or Indiana -5.
