Default Visual VoiceMail question

Please Login to Remove!

So I did a search and can't really see the information I'm looking for. I have an 900 that is running 5.0. I have T-Mobile Visual Voice mail enabled but, I don't seem to get any notifications for voicemails or see any voicemails. Does this move you to aphysically different voicemail system?
Basically, I'm just trying to figure out more about the visual voicemail app. thanks.

You need to have the app on the phone. Check in your apps list and see if its in there

The app is there. T-mobile even shows that I am provisioned for it.

Sometimes this takes a call to T-Mobile Blackberry support (the T-Mobile side, not the RIM side) to get the provisioning done right.

How is the phone type showing in My.T-Mobile.com? On the 8900, it must be set as a 9700. But I also had a 20 minute call with T-Mobile before the voicemail provisioning got straightened out.
