Default browser mb's

So right now i have an unlimited plan with no voice and want to downgrade the data and upgrade the voice.
I'm wondering how much mb does the browser typically take for a given site (like sports.yahoo.com for example). on the computer it's around 150kb, but what is it on the bb?

also, is there a way to check how much usage you used so far this month right now?

I use IM pertty much all day and I consider myself as heavy user of email also. Getting about 100 emails a day and still I don't even go close to 3 MB
So 5 MB is enough to start with and you can try it

for email usage i'm not worried about going over. it's just the browser since i often find myself in boring situations where sports scores make the time go by faster...

What provider are you using? On Verizon, if you dial #DATA you will get a free message back telling you how much data you have used this billing cycle. My billing cycle ends on Oct. 25 and to date I have used 15.2 MB. Last month it was about 18 MB. I use it mostly for email, weather and newsclips.

you're best to wait on unlimited for your first month and see what you use. web browsing eats up data HUGE!
I used 15mb in september just on e-mail, web browsing and messenger.
I anticipate hitting 20mb with the addition of newsclips this month.
