Question 64K sim in BB7520

Please Login to Remove!

I have had my i860 sim provisioned for my blackberry 7520, and I was wondering if I can add contacts to it so that I will have them when I switch between the BB7520 & i860. I know that contacts are not stored on the sim for the BB but they are for the i860, this way I will still have my contacts no matter what phone I use. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

You should be able to do this. As I understand it the i860 stores the #'s as a JAVA app on the sim card. The BB only looks at the sim card for service... No cross over... So it should work for you...

Sorry it will not. Contacts are stored in the internal memory on the BB and it does not have the ability to store or read from the SIM.

You absolutely *can* read contacts from the SIM on a Blackberry... Go into your contacts, click the wheel and scroll down to "SIM PhoneBook", once in there you can copy all contacts to the Blackberry Address Book.

There is no way to push the BB Address Book onto the SIM card though.

Wirelessly posted (your electric?: MOT-A-2B/03.02 UP.Browser/4.1.27a1 UP.Link/5.1.2.12)

Yes you can have CSR provision it. It will be tricky since they say it will fry the sim which is not true. So you will have to call a few times. To get your contacts you are going to have to sync thru outlook. How to get them off of the i860 i dont know. pink
