I am using 1.41 on my 8130. Anyone know of the difference between 1.41 & 1.6? Where did you find the OTA link for 1.6??

Keep trying the link. That happened to me and I kept trying and eventually I was able to download. 1.6 installed without any problems for me. I love this program.

I like the reminder part about this. But that is all I want. I want the LED to be the same. Just to blink RED (message) or GREEN (Normal). Like the it does with out the program installed.

The program seem to change how the LED works. I understand the option and why some people would want it. I just don't.

So in the end. Is there a way to use the reminder part with out the LED changes? Thx

FWIW, I find it best in the morning (I'd guess his server isn't up 24/7).

First-time user here. Just downloaded the latest version (1.6) via the OTA link. Works great...I think.

I'm having one small problem. While the different colored LED alerts seem to be working, I'm not getting a repeat audible alert every 1 minute per my setting. I have Audio Type set to "profile" and Frequency set to "1 Minute". I was assuming that the "profile" setting means that it picks the audible alert from my profile (my sound choice) and repeats that every 1 minute. But maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe it would help if someone explained the difference between "audio," "profile," and "separate profiles."

Thanks.

I just installed it on my 8320, and every time I try to run it, it runs the startup page, then says "BlackBerryAlerts is requesting changes to its application control permissions. Then I click "View", and I see a screen with a bunch of Permissions settings and click to Save, then nothing happens and I have to pull the battery to restart the phone. What's going on?

Go back into your profile (normal) and check the settings in the BBAlerts menu. All of the repeat sounds will be one sound (no different alert for each option)

Slightly off topic, but I own BlackBerryAlerts v1.41.
Do I have to pay for newer releases?

Is there a way to disable the led turning off at the press of a button or the scroll wheel? i normally keep my BB in my pocket and buttons are often pressed. with BB alert when i pull it out of my pocket i dont see any led alerts. i would really like to see the led alerts dissapear only after i have opened up whatever was new.

I still use 1.4 on my 8830 (vzw). Any reason to upgrade really?

only reason I upgraded was I wanted 15 minute delay intervals on my notifications. I'm sure there are other options that are newer in 1.6 that people might use, but I really wanted that extra few minutes over the 1.4's 9 minute interval.

Some users love the Idle Alert, but I do not use that myself.
