Unhappy Unknown Number

Please Login to Remove!

Weird story...

My cousin had a Curve on the Suncom network (now TMobile) and he had it unlocked and moved over to AT&T. Yesterday he gave it to me and I am on the TMobile network.

When I call people their caller ID says Unknown Number. It did that yesterday when he called me from it on AT&T. So... May be it is a setting on the phone??

If anyone can help me, let me know Thanks!

Call Log > Options > Smart Dialing.

Set the area code, etc., and SAVE.

I can't find any way to make mine "unknown" under Smart Dialing. Not that I want to, but how would you do that?

Ah, re-reading this thread, it was the owners device causing the unknown number on OTHER devices... no Smart Dialing there, it would be their Phone Options settings to restrict identity.

Thanks JSanders, for your prompt assistance; however, I'm unable to open your posted link. Even when I cut and paste into the address bar, the link returns me to the bbforums home page.

It links you right back (on purpose) to this very same page to my post above (#2 post in this thread) explaining how to set your Smart Dialing Options.

Good luck.
