Default Is the TMO 8820 any different for Hot Spot @ home than....

.....the Curve?

I saw today that the 8820 was added to the lineup at T-MObile and can be used for WiFi calling.

I use the Curve in my home office for the HS@H and would love to use it on my business travels in Europe.

Is the 8820 any better? worse?

Thank you

Elliot

both devices are capable of international travel. they are both quad band GSM (meaning they can be used in the vast majority of countries). 8820 has a better battery, no camera, and the keyboard is (for most people) more difficult to type on. Why are you looking to switch devices?

Default Thank you....

Thank you for responding so promptly.

I had the Pearl and when I learned of the HS@H I jumped on the Curve since my signal area (25 miles west of Austin) is weak although better than the competition.

The Curve is OK...nice phone, terrible battery...filled with "Exception Errors".

When I saw the 8820 in the Technology pages this morning, I was wondering if this was an upgraded BB or was it brought back to life. I see now that it is an older model that was added to the HS@H line-up.

I guess when traveling in Europe in some of the small towns...the WiFi will not be usable as you need a hot spot and not just a Signal like I use for data on the BB.

Regards

Elliot
