Default Verizon and GPS - Not to beat a dead horse..

Please Login to Remove!

I've read extensively about Verizon's disabling of the GPS chip and only enabling it for VZ Navigator.

My question is this, if VZ Navigator is somehow accessing or enabling the chip I would think someone, who has more techno savvy then me, would be able to figure out exactly how VZ navigator accomplishes this, decipher and write a work around/hack.

I have to say that I am a former Motorola Q user and in Windows Mobile the world of Registry hacks and improvements is near endless. Does this not apply in the Blackberry world?

welcome to the forums. search on this subject and you will find that the dead horse has been beaten for years. keep in mind that the Q and WinMo devices are toys in the security realm compared to the BBs. short answer, no, cant be done.
