Default Bold 9700 issues

Hi All,

I am having a few problems with a Bold 9700, Enterprise, running latest software version.

1st problem is the screen appears to go into a sleep mode (e.g. you will be typing a msg the screen will go black) after say 10 seconds the screen comes back and you can continue your msg.

2nd problem is the device looses conectivity and requires a battery pull,at least once a week.

I replaced the handset in an attemp to fix the 1st problem but it is happening on the brand new replacment device too.


any ideas?

Try a paper shim on the side of the battery opposite the contacts. If that doesn't fix it you may need to take it back for repairs/replacement.

to fix which problem? just to be clear, basicly put a spacer at the bottom of battery, to push the battery and contacts together harder?

Yep. Sometimes a battery can be just loose enough to cause strange problems but not cause a complete reboot.
