Downloaded the newest OS from the official blackberry site, and whenever I search to find something in a text message conversation, the whole conversation with the person goes grey after that and I can't view it without pulling the battery.

Is there a way to stop this, and would installing the leaked 6.0.0.448 solve it, or should I just deal with it until a new model is officially released?

New model?? Have you added any apps that may cause a problem? I would revert back to an earlier version if that worked for you. Also there are other non O2 versions available that may work better but if its an App interference issue it probably wont help until you get the offender off the phone.
