Default BES and BIS

Please Login to Remove!

Right I am sure If I have BES I can also have BIS.

Trouble is I can setup any other address since I activated my work address on my 8900. Previously i Opened my email setup I had add your email address and I could use a hotmail one. Now i have to go to my provider ORANGE UK site and configure my BIS howerver even on doing that nothing comes to my device...I have sent Service book from there too....

MY BES email seems to be working flawlessly. I have wiped my handheld and got all my apps like google maps working,..much to people saying it was my IT policy restricting it. Well no, i wipe handheld installed apps and then activated the BES no IT policy..it just needs to accept a trusted route...so it worked for me..

Now could someone help me as I need my hotmail account setup too..

when i check services status
I see this Blackberry Internet Services Connection: not connected
Blackberry Enterprise Service connection: Mobile Network

still sounds like a BES IT policy. Speak to your IT guys.

I would venture to guess that you did not wipe the IT policy correctly. check in the FAQ.

If this is a company supplied BB on your company's BES, I would not under any circumstances try to circumvent or delete the IT policy. It is there for a reason for the IT Policy. Circumventing (or just trying to) is grounds for termination in many companies these days.

Talk to your BES Admin or IT Staff.

Ok Thanks for your help.

Its not a company blackberry. Its my personal one. and I have a BES account. Created by IT. Well I am IT, for anyone who wanted to say speak to IT.

For all who say its IT policy, I have reset factory settings using JL_Cmder's "resettofactory" command
I also wiped device...but got error 507 seems like it wiped the provisioning service books too.. Now I am loading the firmware 4.6.1.174 on it.

If option to configure my email still doesnt appear I dont know what will help.

Could be, yeh.

I'd assure with the operator that correct BB services are provisioned (BES+BIS) and active as well as have a blank (=default) IT-policy applied to the device. Log onto the BIS servicesite, verify mail account credentials and resend service books.
