Unhappy Blackberry freezing issue

Please Login to Remove!

I have an issue that so far noone has been able to resolve:

When using my BB it locks up or freezes intermittently for around 20-30 seconds and I can do nothing with either the scroll wheel or any of the buttons during this time. When it unfreezes it works for around a second then freezes again for 5-10 seconds after which everything is fine until it decides to lock up again.

It always happens in pairs in this way.

I am currently using an 8700g on a corporate BES however this is the second 8700g I have had as the first had the same issue and was replaced because of it. I have also tried an older 7230 model as well and this suffered the same issue.

I have tried syncing from two different PC's with a new profile on each.
I am using desktop manager version 4

If anyone has seen this before or can suggest a solution I would appreciate it. Thanks...

Default BlackBerry Freezing

I've seen many threads out there where people are describing that their Blackberry's temporarily freeze. I'm experiencing the same problem and I have replaced the unit and gone through everything you can imagine. The new unit does the same thing. My carrier is Cingular, I'm connected to an enterprise BES server and colleagues of mine have the same unit and are not experiencing any issues. Any ideas anyone?? Thanks in advance.

Do you have and programs running in the background? I get this sometimes, but I run quickIM in the background, and/or at times Opera Mini. Depending on how your email is configured it may be taking all the memory just to check email.

Also, what speed is your carrier? I'm with Nextel and get 14.4kbps (slowest abalibe :( )

Another possibility: Are you set to wirlessly sync your device with a desktop? (this might REALLY be a problem if both these latter cases are true)
