iPhone 4S
Please Login to Remove!
Anybody else have one?
I got the 16GB in Black on Sprint..
Siri is OK but I really only use it for goofing off...
iCloud is turned off for me as I don't need / use it...
iMessage is also turned off... Don't know anyone without a cell so I just text instead...
It does appear to be faster and snappier than the iPhone 4 with the new processor...

I guess you didn't use BBM either?

Not really interested in any of the new Androids coming up...
As for 2.3 devices getting the upgrade, I assume HTC will be quick followed by Moto and Samsung will take forever and a day IF they even bother...

It doesn't make any sense to turn iMessage off.
It's in the same app as sending a text message. If the person your're sending a message to also has iMessage enabled, it will automatically be sent as an iMessage. If they don't have it, it will go as a text message.

Re: iPhone 4S
I am aware it uses the same app but if I don't use it, why even have it on?
I don't see the point in leaving things turned on that I don't use.. If I decide later to use it, it is a simple swipe of the toggle switch...

Re: iPhone 4S
If it's on, it'll get used as a priority over texting... as to not subtract from your text message allotment, or the text message allotment of the recipient.
It uses data only.
It's not something you actually have to do anything to use... the device will make the decision to use it or not based on the recipient you're sending to.
It doesn't take any resources if turned on. There's absolutely no downside.

Re: iPhone 4S
Got a black 16gb AT&T to replace my Torch - my observations:
- quick processor, great UI, sexy form factor.
- Siri is fun and actually useful - much better than Vlingo
- Google maps on the Torch had a thicker line for traffic that made it easier to see traffic jams - it's barely noticeable on the iPhone
- Can't start an email on the iPhone then add a photo - you have to go to the photo and create an email. I noticed this when replying to an email and decided to send a pic then realized I couldn't.
- Can't take a pic then post on facebook on the iPhone - you have to go facebook and find the pic to post.
- battery drains a lot faster on the iPhone
- the blackberry gets better phone reception than iPhone
- not a big gaming guy but do like words with friends
Kinda sorta miss the blackberry and look forward to future phones from them (like London).
Will be on iPhone for the foreseeable future.

Re: iPhone 4S
The reason to keep iMessage on is that it does nothing to your own iPhone's performance and it can save a buddy you message from getting hit with texting charges if they're not on an unlimited plan.
