Syncing Blackberry to Two Outlook Calendars
Please Login to Remove!
On my desktop I have multiple calendars, however I can't see them on my Blackberry. Is it possible to see multiple calendars on your Blackberry and if so what setting do I need to change? I have the Curve 8330.
Thanks.

Did you set up any email accounts in BIS? Calendars on the blackberry are "tied" to the email accounts set up in BIS. Then you can sync your outlook calendar(s) to the calendar(s) on the blackberry.

You can sync 1 calendar at a time if you want to sync multiple calendars you will need to reconfigure the sync each time you want to sync a different calendar.

If you have 4.3+ you have 1 calendar per email addres on your Berry if you want the 3 desktop calendars go to seperate calendars on your BB go to.. Options -> Advanced Options -> Default Service, change the CICAL entry, that controls the calendar. Once you change that change the sync folder in the desktop manager....
Very tedious, but that is an extreme if you want to manage 3 seperate desktop and 3 sperate BB calendars, that leaves ALOT of room for error however.

a related issue, i think. i have two separate desktops where i synch from. i maintain just one calendar on outlook. i recently updated device to v4.5 and now have multiple calendars on device. i guess this was feature of newer setup, but i can't figure out how to simjplify it back to reading just one calendar. i do use the bb to monitor 2 email accounts. any idea how to resolve? thanks.

hey steveo86
i just read another response of yours to another thread, perhaps i follow now. to sync different calendars are you saying you have to go into default services each time before you sync to change calendar default? if so, if i leave it on one it should always sync that one, right? is there a way to do away with the other?

as i read more posts, tell me if this is right. prior to sync, if i change calendar options in default services, that is calendar where BB items will go to? so if i sync at work with one email, then before synching at home with separate email, i change default calendar, than all items on BB will go to that calendar as well?

Yes if you want to manage 2 sperate calendar on your BB and Desktop you will need to change the Default Services (mentioned in my Above post) along with changed the Desktop Manager Sync everytime. (exetremely tedious).

If you sync one calendar then just sync that one, unless you want to combine the two calendars.

Yes, Assuming the desktop manager settings have been changed as well.
Hopefully I got it all, if not let me know.

not sure what you mean by 'changing the desktop manager settings', i have tried synching at work today by changing default calendar but new items on outlook calendar are not going to handheld. tasks and address book items did update, but not calendar. perhaps i changed a setting somewhere but have been back through it 3-4 times and everything appears correct. i even tried changing synch to go from outlook to handheld, instead of full synch but to no avail. what do i need to do in regards to 'desktop manager settings' for thr separate calendars to work properly? thanks again for you help.

Which version of the desktop manager are you running?
You must go into the Sync Options and then head into the advanced settings of the Calendar and check what calendar folder it's syncing with.
Let me know what version and I can give a more detailed response.

4.2.2.14 is the version of desktop manager. i don't see an option for choosing a calendar folder in the advanced settings area under 'configure synch'. maybe this version will help you to help me...

It might be 4.2.2, I'm using 4.7, in the Synch, choose the Calendar, choose "advanced" on the Calendar tab choose "Map Folder" you should be able to navigate your Outlook folders and choose a different calendar.
