Welcome to the forums.

If there's a media card, remove it. Also, remove the battery for a few minutes and then try again, see if it boots up.

Use JL_Cmder to wipe the device then reload the OS. If that doesn't fix it, it's likely toast.

What happened to the device before this started happening? New app? New theme? Was it dropped? Did it get wet?

Have you tried this? What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

OP indicates JL_CMDER already tried, and seems to be saying JL_CMDER would not connect.

If so,

http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.p...nnect_and_wipe

Also try different USB ports, and don't use hubs, keyboard USB, etc.

i think you didnt understand: it doesnt work at all, when i turn it on the bb dies in 9 seconds. there is no way to access it while it's off?

P.s: i tried to the stuff with dos but it didnt work, it's still the same. Actually, after the application loader it gave me a "jvm error 547 flash write failed"... I think i could fix everything by installing the SO through the application loader... how do i do it???

P.P.S: im italian, and it's been a long time since i wrote in a forum last time...

We understand. You need to see the link and keep trying to get the device to connect at the right moment in the pre-boot. Chances are it can be done. It has been accomplished by others with devices showing same symptoms as yours.

Of course, if you want to throw in the towell without trying, it's your call.

Try connecting with JL_Cmder without the battery installed.

Download the OS you'd like to install on the device. Your thread talks about the BB "Pearl" however, in your profile you have "9000" listed. These are two different devices. Which one do you have?

Once the OS is installed and vendor.xml deleted (if OS is not from your carrier) you just run loader.exe found in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader to load the OS to the device.

However, if JL_Cmder will not connect to the device it's likely that loader.exe won't either.

You can't install the OS if you can't get it to connect to your PC.

Are you connecting directly to a USB port or through a USB hub/monitor port?

It may take multiple attempts before it connects. I've seen it take 20 at times. Be patient and keep trying. Rushing through this will only cause you a bigger headache.
