Default Pearl Flip Wont Stop Vibrating

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, I am new here, but I have been doing some research, my girlfriends Pearl Flip just tonight decided to Not stop Vibrating. I did a battery pull on it, left it for 10 minutes, and it is Still vibrating.. She has a "Pink" theme downloaded on it, but nothing more than that, and has had it for a couple months with no problems. If anyone has some insight to this,I would truly appreciate it!!! She is now using my 8520, and im back to my 8200 which im not all that thrilled about!!

Please help!!!

Wirelessly posted

Did she expose it to any moisture or drop it?

If it is not damaged, you could try wiping it with JL-CMDER (see blackberryfaq.com) and reinstalling the device software.

But before you do that try another battery pull and wait a few minutes.

This issue could be due to a setting in the active Profile. To test this, change the active profile by clicking on the Profiles icon on the main screen of the device. Switch the active profile to Quiet or Phone Only.

If the issue stops occuring when the profile has been changed, the problem is likely with a setting in the previous Profile. Then you will need to go to Profiles > Advanced and click on the original profile that was causing the issue. Here you will find a list of different things that the device can give notifications for. You will need to go through these and find wich ones are set to Vibrate that could be causing the issue.

If you are still having probs then you might want to perform a clean reinstall of the device software using Application Loader.

Let me know if this helps....
