Hello,

I've got an Blackberry Bold 9930 (non camera) on Amazon but it has Verizon written on it.
I use it in The Netherlands and would like to install Dutch language on it, and do an software update.
it now runs on7.0 bundle 1739 (v7.0.0.374, platform 5.0.0.552)

But blackberry desktop software doesn’t show any languages, only my installed apps from the app world.

I’ve tried to download software from the Verizon website but need to fill in a Verizon phone number that I don’t have. And I don’t have a Blackberry contract.

And now I have no idea how I could fix this and need help from the pro’s..

u don't need to install a Verizon OS. u can wipe the device using BBSAK and then load any OS. I would recommend 923 as I've been using it for almost a week and it's flawless

Okay, problem is how do i get that new OS Without a official carrier.


And I have never swiped a phone before and will google it!

Also, please be aware that it may not work properly in NL as it was not a GSM device.

Okay, but the phone works fine now in NL so it should be fine after a OS update right?

I'm going to try all the above tomorrow so fingers crossed!

It worked! And the device asked me if it automaticly has to switch between GSM and Umts. Thanks for the help!
