Are you wanting to get rid of the liltte icon that shows when you have one or the application itself?
If it's just the icon showing you have a new message and you really don't try a battery pull.

no, when you click on the icon it says my carrier does not support this yet and locks up, and its Blackberry Visual Voicemail, it runs in the background. I want to get it off my bb to get the memory back. I am wondering if anyone knows where it is in the Blackberry.alx file or the Platform.alx to remove it. or what cod files I can delete to get rid of it...

i believe i found the files
net_rim_bb_vvm*.cod
anything with vvm is for visual voicemail, i copied them off there were 7 in total.
BB just rebooted and that did the trick...

I had to delete all the VVM cods in order to get my icon back, and in fact it was greyed out in DM, so I had to move them to another folder and run app loader.

I went into the location on my computer that RIM 4.6 is stored in, found the VVM_ files above, deleted them, opened Desktop Mgr, ran App Loader, it offered to delete the VVM files not found on computer, deleted them, installed / updated 4.6 - and voila ! - My voice mail icon is back showing 2 new vm's - had to hold down 1 key and go to voice mail the first time to make it register back to the device - and hang up before it plays a message, then it pops up. Realizing this is all laymens language above - most of you are familiar with exactly how to do this - just confirming it works to restore normal vmail icon...

thanks worked great and my voice mail icon works again..really was annoying without a message indicator. I guess by the time they support VVM there will be a new os update. Untill then, back to the old way but I at least know I have a message!

Much appreciated! I'm sure that helps a lot of people. The path is a bit different with Vista 64 bit, but still simple enough to find.
Thanks again.

Is there anyway to delete VVM without desktop software? Can I call AT&T?
I'm on the road with my Mac (I have my desktop software on my pc at home), and now I never know if I have a VM.
This VVM is total crap, my vm box got filled up and I didn't even know I had any!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I tried searching for the answer but none of the threads helped my situation.
Thanks!

Nope, you have to use desktop manager.
AT&T will not help as the VVM files are for an OS that AT&T havent released.
