Default "menu" keeps appearing after popping a screen

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I am developing a small blackberry application that contains two "mainscreen" windows. After the user has selected some options in the first, a new ModalScreen is pushed to the stack and is displayed as so.

Code:

MyModalScreen _ms = new MyModalScreen();
getUiEngine().pushModalScreen(_ms);
//continue processing after modal is popped
So far so good.

However, after the user finishes with this ModalScreen (selects the "cancel" button), I remove it with a...
Code:
getUiEngine().popScreen(this);
...from within the code of the 2nd screen.

This then removes the ModalScreen, and the user is again presented with the first.

My problem is, after the 2nd screen is popped and the 1st screen appears, the "Menu" always, rather annoyingly, appears. I can get rid of it manually with the "back" button (resuming control to the 1st screen), but I'm sure there must be a better way around it than this?

Thanks for any help!

Make sure you have the CONSUME_CLICK style on your button fields.

Hi Dougsg38p, thanks for your help! I managed to get my code working.

Coincidentally I have released the program on sourceforge as an open source app at (sorry for the silly url, the forum won't let me post the url because my post count is less than 10):

https colon slash slash sourceforge dot net slash projects slash bbvelcro

Basically, its a simple pkzip "unzipper" program. I was tired of having to pay for a full featured zip app when all I wanted to do was unzip a "zip" file. Note, it only works on zip's created with Windows OSes, as Linux and Mac have a different format which isn't compatible with Velcro. However, the src code is available to download so maybe someone else will figure that one out!

It can take ages to unzip a big file, so the blackberry indicator light flashes a rapid on/off red colour to let you know your zip has "unzipped"

Cheers,
holr
