BlackBerry OS 4.5 hitting mid-September for ATxxx038;T users : Boy Genius Report

Mobile IM (AIM, Yahoo, MSN)

I hope this is true. I would love these programs natively and using only data.

I know you're excited about the stock AIM/etc applications but you may also want to check out jivetalk.

I will never buy an app that is already free somewhere else.

AIM

http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft....do?code=wlm20

so does this mean ATT is opening up?

And JiveTalk is not free elsewhere. Other apps (which actually don't work well are) are available.

One app that does all major IM's vs. individual apps for each IM. I'll take JiveTalk.

I admit Jivetalk is good. I was a beta tester before they went live. I dont mind separate programs either. all I am saying is these programs are available for free but someone is not allowing them on our handhelds. Whether its ATT or RIM, I think it sucks.
