Well I remove the security settings and just add wireless mac address filter and guess what.. Approx 1 hour later the phone loses UMA. This is a software issue... The only way to relieve the problem , is to restart the wifi radio........ Come on Rim

Exclamation Connection issue

Hi guys and girls,
I do not know if this helps but the H@H service will only do one handoff so if the phone looses the Wi-Fi connection and goes to EDGE it is not able to go back to Wi-Fi if this connection is lost therefore loosing the call....

Hope this helps...

This is inaccurate. I've switched back and forth between EDGE and UMA many times on a call. There is a 70 second delay before it will switch back, though, to keep it from bouncing back and forth.

Per LINKSYS tech support and RIM use the following values in your router:

DTIM: 2 (1-255)
Fragment Threshold : 2304 (256-2346)
RTS Threshold : 2304 (0-2347)
Beacon Interval : 50 (20-1024 ms)
Channel = 3 (or least used channel in your area)

This has solved many issues with failed UMA connections.

It worked great on my 8120; Ohh and I could only change the DTIM, Beacon, & Channel on my U.S. Robotics router. It is the settings that matter not the Brand/Model router or BB phone.
