However, the good thing is that with BlackBerry, you can always go back - which is probably what I'm going to end up doing. I didn't have any problems at all with 246.

If you have an iPhone, and Apple releases a new OS version, and it either breaks functionality that you've grown accustomed to (this has actually happened to me personally) or slows your device down considerably, you're pretty much screwed in terms of going back to an earlier OS version unless you saved the old OS file and REALLY know what you're doing. Once a new iOS version is released, Apple will no longer validate the older OS after a set amount of time.

I must be one of the very lucky few. I bought my Torch the second day it came out and have done updates/grades as they have come out. I am currently running .526 and I am not having any problems at all. Torch is just as fast and responsive as ever. I notice a change in my trackpad so I went and changed it back from 70 to 50. With each update/upgrade I have done I have never ever had any of the problems that people list. Just remember that every time you upgrade your Torch you will have to go back and reset your settings back to where you like them to be. To help with my battery I have my Backlight Brightness set to 10, and Backlight Timeout set to 20 Sec.

We have both Black and White Torches. When connect to Desktop Manager, the Black AT&T Torches download 6.0.0.450 whereas our White Torches download 6.0.0.526. Any ideas? Sure i can manually do it, jsut thought it was wierd. I tried it on two of each color phone.

I wonder why 450 and not 315?
