Boneheaded people (ie me) do the following:

Listen to "computer nerd" buddy that says he can transfer all my work contacts, from outlook onto my personal, non business related Pearl. Tries to synchronize it with my work desktop and the end result is, I get my address book over, but the interface of my pearl changes, i don't have as many icons on the home screen and my camera does not work. The message says "your network administrator" has disabled or something like that. We tried, the "wipe" feature but got rid of address book and camera still does not work.

I am willing to not even bring my Pearl to work in my suit pocket, if there is a way to restore it to the way it was. I'm ready to bring out the soap and try to scrub it. It is obvious I am technically challenged, so any explanation would be step by step. Thanks for reading this,

Sounds like you've picked up the works IT profile/service books. You will need to replace it with a default profile. There has been a lot of people getting this problem so have a search around the forums and I'm sure you will find a nice walkthrough for how to do this.

You'll need to remove the IT policy from the device. Here are some instructions.
