Hi!


I have been trying to open my BB emails into my computer. I use a Macbook Pro so I would like to be able to open them into my MAC mail.

I tried for hours but to no avail. I finaly had to register for a hotmail account, forward my BB address to hotmail and then set it up so that my hotmail email opens on my laptop.

Is there a way to do this directly without going thru a hotmail account?

Whenever I reply from my computer, the reply address is my hotmail one, not my BB one.

Several reasons NOT to use the carrier email account.

1. Unfiltered and if it gets "harvested" you wiLl get more SPAM that you wish to receive.

2. You cannot take it with you when and if you change carriers. Cancel the BIS account and it is gone.

3. The only way to read email to that account is on the BB itself, no webmail or other option is available. Int he case of a data outage (and they do happen) you are out of luck.

I think the answer to your question is in #3.
