Default "Keep Messages" setting on "forever" a problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I receive my work email through our BES and my personal email through BIS. I also have email reconciliation on for all my accounts.

The "Keep Messages" on Blackberry under general options has a default setting of 30 days. If I switch this to keep messages on the Blackberry forever, will this eventually slow down my Blackberry ?

If I leave it on 30 days, then these messages will just be removed from my Blackberry (after 30 days) but will not be removed from my email accounts will they ?

I know since I have email reconciliation on that if I delete from Blackberry it would delete from my email account as wel but I think this is different than the "Keep Messages" setting correct ?

Thanks, Kirk
