Default Sending Pictures problem with BB Torch (9800) on Rogers

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone,

Didn't find this reported here, but see that it existed on the Blackberry Support Community forums. There was no resolution there, and wondered whether anyone here has heard of this issue, or knows how to resolve it.

The issue is that I cannot send pictures that reside on my media card. If I go to BBM and pick a contact then select send picture, it takes you to the directories with pictures. When i go to one of the directories and select one of the pics, it simply opens it. It will not allow me to send. It is like i was never in BBM but was just browsing my pictures.

The only thing I can do is to go to a BBM contact, choose send picture and go to the Camera and take a pic. THen it lets me send. However, that pic that is now stored cannot be sent again.

This has really been a pain. I've contact Rogers tech support and it was such a waste of time. They told me that they were able to do it, but that doesn't help me.

Let me know if you have any idea how to fix this.

Thanks.

Did you do a hard reset and then try again?

If not, with the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. Then give it another try.

Yes, done this numerous times. This seems to be a common suggestion by the tech support folks. Not just once, mind you. ha ha. Many times.

It is a common suggestion because it is THE FIRST troubleshooting step for weird problems.

It that didn't fix it, I don't know what else to suggest.
