I went to load all my music on my 6 GB card and found that it would only store over 1.83 GB to discover that the blackberry has split the card in four for Music, Video, Picture, and Ringtones, so the 6GB card is not that good after all

It might have created folders but that has nothing to do with the allocation. As far as I know 4g card is the max that the pearl will take on 4.2 OS... That might be part of the problem here.

Thanks for the reply, The card is showing 5.82gb when I go into the media card settings in options so I think is is seeing the card but for some reason it wont let me load more than 1.83gb in the Music folder, I can load music in the rest of the folders but cant play it for some reason, So if anyone has any ideas please let me know

Odd I have 2.5 GB in my music folder with a 4 GB card so it does not seem to me a quota for how much music can be in a folder.

Wow.....6 gigs now? I'm sure there will be an OS coming that will support that size. I'm still using a 1 gig card as I haven't sampled with the movie making yet. I just learned how to convert youtube.

Did you upgrade your OS to the latest TMo one? There are peole on this forum who have the latest OS and are getting close to 5.85 gb free. There are pics of their screen.
