Default Can't remove battery from 6510

Please Login to Remove!

I need to remove the battery from a 6510 to access the SIM card. I am finding it extremely difficult to remove the battery. There appears to be very little space around the battery to pry the battery out and I am afraid of shorting the device. The manual shows me how to insert the battery, but not how to remove it. Any tips?

Sure.

Take a piece of ribbon and place it between the battery and the blackberry device.

That way you can use the ribbon to pull the battery out.

An excellent suggestion! I was able to use a jewelers screwdriver to gently pry the battery. Now I can go back in there and add the ribbon

Thanks

You can also turn it over and tap it a couple of times and the battery will come out.

You've gotta do it with style! With the right hand, do a one thumbed removal of the cover, cup the other hand and "clap".

When your desk is littered with blackberries. You've gotta do something to liven things up.
