Default UNLOCKED 8700c working 100% on T-MO BIS service!!

Please Login to Remove!

I just recieved the unlocked bb 8700c from Adam @ gsmphonesource about 30 minutes ago.

1- I popped my T-MO sim in, registered the device(under host routing table),

2-went to T-MO BIS website, updated the IMEI(already had the new pin cause i registered it from handheld first)

3- sent the service books, and 30 seconds later I had 41 unread emails from comcast account that were on the comcast server. checked internet is good to go, t-zones icon is there, phone call is good to go, so seems all set....

NOW ALL U TMO CUSTOMERS GO GET THOSE 8700C'S UNLOCKED, SO U CAN USE THIS AWESOME BB!!!!

ps- talked to a couple other people on this site with unlocked 8700c's, and there BES service work fine on it too!

Just curious - you can't get an EDGE connection on TMO, can you?

Phoenix has EDGE too and it is much faster comparative of regualr GPRS. When UMTS/HSDPA comes that will be 14.4 MBPS minimum

I have not been able to get the 8700 to work as a modem on Tmobile; anyone have luck yet? If so, could you share your settings?

Thx

I am asking you if T-Mobile service know you use 8700c? If not, They can tell your sim card and IE number. They have inform on their computer what you apply. How much cost a monthly do you pay? Does T-Mobile accept 8700c? Let me know. Thanks

I tried registering the IMEI but it says that it is still registered by cingular. Is there any way to get them to release it? The phone works fine without it but i am wondering if there are any ramifications to this.(phone seems to work fine)

My BB stopped sending/receiving emails a few days after I switched from Cingular to TM. I called TM Tech Support and he indicated the TM BB servers had my old Cingular Email address and this caused the BB server to block my device. He deleted the old Cingular address and everything worked fine again. He indicated it might have happened because I ported my phone number over.

this sucks.. it will take long time and had bad experience from T-Mobile and Cingular on 7290 it took them 5 days. would be better of you ask the orig owner and ask him to call cingular and get it released from Cingular
