Cingular sent me to Lockline for equipment insurance and they said they don't cover 8700's. Is there another 3rd party insurer that i can use??

My wife has her 8700 covered by Tmo.

homeowners policy, or what they call personal insurance. If cingular charged you for insurance, lockline will give you one courtesy exchange.

True..but my home owners has a $500 deductable which would be more than a new replacement. No finacial advantage there. I am debating with my self if cell phone insurance is not just a convieneance rather than a smart financial move.

Do a google search. There are plenty of companys that offer electronic insurance on BBs, laptops, ipods, etc. Here is one that I found doing a google search:

I lost my 8700c about a week ago, It hurt to have to purchase another one. I was not eligible for an upgrade through cingular for 6 more months but they still gave me 25% 0ff because the people in the store remembered me. After $50 mail in rebate I'm still out of $317.00
