Hello all, I'm new to the boards, you can probably find me in Newsarama and that's about it, and I'm new to Blackberry's (was formerly a Sidekick devotee, well I do still have my SK3) anyways, I'm an employee of T-Mobile and will soon transfer to the Blackberry department, I just purchased an 8700g, and so far am really happy with it. I was just wondering if there are any tips and tricks of the trade my fellow BB users can give a guy. When I do start at the BB deptartment I'll be sure to spread the wealth around (it might be a few months). Anyways I do have one question, I was accessing a site and it said I need to enable my Java, any help on that. So in the mean time any info you folks would like to give, I would love to hear, cause I want to enjoy this phone to it's fullest potential. I consider myself a little tech savvy, not to much, I only have an AAS in IT, so I'm not too bad. I have my BAS in Business and that's my primary focus. Thanks guys and have a good weekend.

First thing to do is to browse through the many Sticky Thread FAQs at the top of the General BlackBerry Discussion forums. Loads of great information there.

Thanks a bunch, I'm assuming those sticky's that have downloads (like the aftermarket version of Word and Excel) need to be downloaded from the phone right? Not through the CPU?

Depends on the program. Some are available over the air...others, you have to install via the Desktop Manager's Application Loader.

If you're looking for Word and Excel, try a search for eOffice. That should help you find what you're looking for. Fyi, it's an app you must pay for. There are no free versions.
