After buying an early 8700, and getting a warranty replacement due to dust, I'm finding that my 'w' key (also the key for calling voicemail) is starting to go dead. If I just type normally, then whenever I type a word that requires a 'w' I find that the letter did not appear after I typed it. Anyone got any techniques for waking up a dead letter?
I suppose I can disassemble the whole thing, but I'm hoping that either this is something that might resolve itself, or else that there's some way to "recondition" the key with button presses. If it the fix involves disassembling...how big a deal is that? I might prefer another warranty replacement before I'd want to attempt a difficult/risky fix...

I'm having a problem with my 'ALT' key doing that as well. I bought mine off of eBay, so would I be able to call Cingular and get a warranty exchange still?
It's not that big of a deal if not. I could probably buy a new keypad and just replace that. Just thought I would check though.
