I recently got a sprint 8830 and atleast once a day it loses the data connection and gives me an error message saying "data connection lost. Server cannot be found. If this persists contact your service provider." Which I did but sprint doesn't have any answers. If I take the battery out then it will get all the data I missed (emails) in one shot. Its like the data side freazes. Any info would be great. I would also like to know if there is a way to restart the phone without removing the battery (soft reset). Thanks

What device were you using before the 8830?

I assume that you are in an area with a good connection and data as well. Does it happen in different locations or the same place every time?

i was using a sprint mogul for two weeks and a treo 755p before that. im in evdo area it just doesnt connect to the network
