Hello ive just been given the chance to have a new 8900 at the moment i have the storm which i do like but wanted peoples feedback on what device is the better one,

Depends on what you like / use it for. Like me I text and e-mail while I drive can't do that on the Storm so that was a deal breaker for me. The Storm looks cooler and has EVDO but the 8900 works better faster and smoother. So it depends on your preference. If you like your Storm no need to spend more money on the 8900 but if you don't like your Storm you will love this new Curve!

Having had the storm for a week... vs my previous 8900, i cant wait to go back to the 8900!

The storm is pretty, and has some great points, but the 8900 is alot better for a heavy user.

I just switched to 8900 from Storm. Had the storm for close to 2 months. I didn't hate it, but I frequently longed for my previous berry -- Curve 8310. So now I've happily switched to 8900. Love it so far...

You're right, the Bold's bigger than the 8900.

If you'd ask me between the 8900 and the Storm... I'd take the 8900--a second one for that matter.

After using BB since the 7230, I would get the 8900. I like a real keyboard. The Storm is what happen when an iphone and a 9000 have kids.

My boss has the Storm, we find it runs slower then the standard keyboard Blackberries even with the lasted Rim patchs. Tmobile gave me a 8900 to play with. I found the battery does not last as long as my AT&T Bold. Also the wireless feature kept bring down my home router when my kid was using it as a phone.

My personal opinion would be the 8900. I had the Bold, great phone but a tad to big for my liking. And for the Storm, I am not a touch screen guy. I like my keyboard and the 8900 has a nice one!

I just switched from the storm to the curve and I think there's nothing like a real keyboard.

as a former storm owner i too would say 8900, its a great device!

As always, this comes down to personal preference. The Storm seems to have had it's share of issues at launch, but you indicated in the initial post that yours seems to be meeting your needs.
Have you had a chance to "play" with an 8900? If not, try visiting a retail store and ask to do so. Once you have an idea of how it functions compared to your Storm, you should be able to make an informed decision.

I had the storm for a month; I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I quickly realized I was wrong; it all comes down to reliability and performance for me.
I hated the storm after a week, so I gave it another chance as I may get used to it, after a month I wanted to throw it out of my 10th floor condo window. Onto eBay it went!
Constantly freezing or taking forever to switch from one app to the next, the mute button constantly gets activated when you’re trying to talk on the damn thing, copy and paste sucks and u cannot text and drive! (Not that I recommend doing so!)
I ordered the 8900 on the 15 of January and have loved every feature since!
Started with the 8130 to 8320 to 8310 to 9530 now at the 8900 and so happy!

I didn't play with the Storm, I own the 8900 and from what I read above I think it's obvious you should start by going into a retail store and see/feel the 8900 for yourself. We pretty much know the answer.

i have both and constantly use em both all day long. i would say the storm is more of an entertainment bb and the 8900 is more of a power user bb. also the 8900 is alot more stable than the storm, just give RIM some time to work on the OS and the storm will be a great device too......i say get the 8900

I have had both and I highly prefer the 8900 over the storm. If you are used to a blackberry then you will miss the full keyboard. That is the only reason I dont like the storm

I don't have any experience with the Storm, the 8900 Curve is the best BlackBerry I have ever come across. Just awesome! My 2 cents deposited.
