Acrobat Reader for BB
Please Login to Remove!
Does anyone know of a reader that will be available for the BB that will be able to display PDF files as they should be displayed, in image format not text?
We have tried the Dochawk product, it works but nowhere near how it should. Having to transmit the file to another server, wait for a response and then view the file off of another server is not a solution, it's a very poor workaround.
Thanks
Dan

There is one on Handango now.
Go to www.handango.com, and search for DocHawk Platinum.

As I wrote in my previous posting, I am looking for something other than the way the Dockhawk product works. I'd like the blackberry to view the pdf not send it to another server for conversion to view in the slow wap browser.

now that we can view pdf attachments in emails, why won't it allow us to just transfer pdfs over to the bberry (7290 in my case) from a computer and then view them right on there...if i email myself a large pdf, it takes forever to d/l or it never does finish...
i want a simple program to open any pdf file that i transfer to the bberry

My 7290 opens pfd files as well, but it will not open Image based .pdf files such as those that are scanned. I am running BES 4.0 with OS 4.0 on my blackberry and I was told that image based .pdf files (like when you scan) would be viewable as attachments on my BB. Can anyone else view image based .pdf files? If so, how do you do it?
I'm even willing to purchase 3rd party software to help me resolve this issue. Our CFO is breathing down my neck with this issue. It seems as if he only purchased a BB for himself to view scanned documents while away from the office.
Help please!!
TIA

We do a lot of scanning, and I would like to see this too
We have a mix of 7510s, 7290 and 7250s.

How do you do this? Not necessarily just pdf files, but I have been looking for a way to transfer any files to the blackberry, other than just e-mailing them to myself... (or is that what you mean?)

Wirelessly posted (Thumpers 7250: BlackBerry7250/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)
As I re-read your post I see that your question was for a product to display graphics within a .pdf. I too can open a PDF, but graphic portions are converted to text. Is this maybe an OS issue?

PDFs are highly compressed in order to view them, they are expanded. Since BB's only have about 2/4MB RAM (most models) and 16/32MB storage, this can be an issue, which is why conversion takes place.

There is a 3rd party group called Onsettechnology. They have what is called metamessage, very expensive it may help but the BB don't support image rich pdf's yet
