Default Multitap No Longer Works, HUGE delay when typing

Please Login to Remove!

How you guys doing, This is my first Blackberry I have ever had, but with the way things have been going it makes me want this one to be the last one, are all blackberrys this bad? I have had this phone for 3 days the first 2 days were just a learning curve with the phone and the touch screen (hitting wrong buttons hear and there but I got used to it). Ever since last night everything has a HUGE delay and nothing seems to work right, the phone has frozen several times, gotten a few index errors messages, some pictures I take randomly turn black and white, et etc. One of the main issues is the multitap is no longer working. Example to say "Hey" you hit 4 twice 3 twice and 9 3 times, instead i get "Ggddwww" and it takes literally about 10 seconds to bring up that, it takes about 2-4 secs for each character to pop up, after hitting the backspace button it does the same thing, it takes about 2-4 secs to go back each character no matter how fast or how slow you hit the backspace button, If I enable SureType sometimes it will be a normal phone pad sometimes it will do a QWERTY pad in portrait mode, it changes when it wants to.... I can only type in landscape mode and it takes bout thirty secs to say "Whats up", Anyone else have this problem? I have never had so many issues with a phone, I think Im going to throw it out the window =) Sorry for venting on my first post lol

Also other issues I am having but not as frustrating as the typing:
-I plug into computer (sometimes Desktop Manager will connect sometime it wont) and it view all these updates available and in the middle of updatin it says not enough storage.
-It gets confused whether it is supposed to be in portrait or landscape mode
-Sometimes may take up to 20 secs before it realizes it needs to switch from landscape to portrait and vice versa.
-top of screen does not click in

Wirelessly posted (bb8320TMO)

It sounds like you need to do a battery pull.

I uninstalled the VZW Navigator and -oh my god- my phone took off like a racehorse. Performance shot through the roof, especially with switching between landscape/portrait mode, camera, and answering calls.

Something else to think about that I discovered yesterday. My storm had the usual lag that everyone is complaining about. Moderate but nothing huge. I couldn't figure out how to get some appointments in my calendar to delete, so I wiped the handheld. I have to tell you, once the wipe was finished and the storm re-booted, it is MUCH faster, with almost no lag at all. If anyone is having lag issues, you should try it. Its a pain having to re-setup the phone how you like it, but it was worth it to me.

Speaking of multitap and suretype, I don't know how, but I had it set up so I had the multi tap keyboard, but it was doing suretype, anyway that I can get that back?

Default Multitype issues

My storm seems to default to Suretype even though I have the Multitype setting saved (done multiple times) in the Option list on portrait view. Any ideas why and how to correct?
