Default BlackBerry "pictures"

Hi,
just recently i put a new IT policy in place. I disabled cameras via BES on all of our company BB's. Now people are complaining and want me to turn it on again.
Their reason:
Taking pictures of notes and whiteboards in conference rooms.

My reason:
They are taking pictures of their families, pets, flowers ...... just picture of BS.
Then they come over to see me and are complaining that our BES is stupid, they are not receiving emails, their phone log is not there anymore and many others.

So that's why we decided to disable the camera.

But since I am receiving something about 30 and more emails regarding just the camera per a day, and something about 10 ticket per a day, i think i will allow the camera funcition again.

So my question is:

If I allow the camera again, can i set a policy on the server which would erase the pictures from the device after 1 or 2 days?

Personally, I don't think you've given a valid reason for disabling the camera in the first place.
It's one thing to disable it for security or privacy reasons... but disabling it because you simply don't like what they're photographing is a bit out of line in my opinion.

You can't force a policy which will erase pictures after a few days.

I must agree with soupandsandwich. How they use the camera is irrelevant. If there's a security issue, I would create a no-Camera policy just for that purpose. I know many people who use it for whiteboards and it's very useful for taking pictures of network ports which are hard to reach and dark. (Flash on the BB is awesome for that).

No need to police your users. They'll think you're a dick.

This really is a user training issue. Once you tell them how to "perform a BB cleanup", your users will love you for it...and at the same time making you look less like the BB police.

Just create a nice training video and put it up on your internal website.

I know, I feel like a dick but at least the users going to buy a Micro SD card for their BB's.

I wouldn't mind if they were taking a few family pictures or what ever, but they had/have only non-business related pictures.

Of course then they won't receive any emails and their phone log is gone, then they are expecting help from me. If i want to delete all the pictures they are *****ing and want me to download it and send it to them.

So I disable the camera and will enable it only for users with their own SD card.
