Unhappy Curve not regonised by BB Mamager on local pc

Please Login to Remove!

Our company has 3 curves and we have bes on the server. Syncing with server no issues there. When users try to use usb cable on local pc's, they make noise as if being recognised, but they do not appear in bb mamager or as a devise after clicking "my computer". I even tried a media card reader and no go. Yet the usb mouse and keyboard work fine. Perplexing..any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to the forums!

Are they connecting the USB directly to the PC or via a hub? The presence of a hub will sometimes cause the lack of recognition.

Wirelessly posted

No hub..very strange..funny thing is that you can connect them via usb directly to the server but not any of the workstations in the office.

With the help of a friend of mine I was able to work out the solution to my issue. My friend suggested that when I first setup the devices, I plugged them into the server to get there pin numbers that maybe, like iPods, they were only authorized on the server. I had to setup a new device for the VP of company and so I downloaded the new bb manager and connected the device to his workstation and not only did it recognize it, it told the server that it was the new device and changed the server settings. It automatically started to initialize and set itself up. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you and happy new year.
