How is the device getting a 3G connection? As you noted, it only works on EDGE. Has to be something else going on.

Sorry, I meant it was struggling to keep an EDGE connection, in that it drops to edge and back to EDGE all the time.
I downgraded the phone to version 4.7 to see if this will fix some of the issues. More than likely I got a screwed phone (The entire purchase was a fiasco
eBay the wrong wayxxx8230; | Edmonton Tek).
More than likely I will end up purchasing a new phone from Rogers and not have to deal with this garbage.
