i get the 2 vibrates while in holster, then 3 rings, then it goes to voicemail.
i have it set at the max 3 rings. anyway to extend this? i can hardly get my phone out and hit a key in time to answer!

Contact your provider; they should be able to adjust the settings on the network for you. I have heard of some users being able to manage it directly on their phones. Search around the forums and you will probably find an answer.

Nextel offer free ring time extension. You need to contact CS to get it added.

2 vibrates, then 3 rings equals 5 rings which is standard for Nextel. As stated contact customer service and they can extend it. If you get a CSR that doesnt understand, keep calling back till you get one that understands your request.

If it is the vibrate you are not feeling, then only hearing the 3 rings eliminate the vibrate so you get all 5 as rings ....

Profiles>Active Profile>Phone ... under the In Holster option, change this to Tone.

I had always suspected Nextel to use this as a gimmick to get users to deplete their minutes faster. sneaky.....

I had the same deal previously w/ nextel. I had them update the profile so that I had more time to answer.
