Default Remove provider logo

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

What would be the best, easiest and most safe method of removing the branding ( provider logo at the bottom ) on the phone? I find the text annoying and it does not need to be there.

Thanks.

1) Tape around the logo to keep sugar from getting anywhere it shouldn't, leaving the logo exposed. 2) Grab a sugar cube and start scraping. Apparently the sugar should be strong enough to remove the branding sticker, but not quite strong enough to scratch up your cell phone casing.

The best way is to just buy a new bottom piece:

BlackBerry Bold 9000 OEM bottom cover - unbranded- NEC, Nokia, Apple, Panasonic, Sony, Dopod/O2, Microsoft, Samsung, LG, Motorola,

However, I'm located in Belgium and I do not seem to find a shop here in the neighbourhood selling such pieces? Do you reckon phone dealers can obtain this?

Last October when I bought my BB Bold there was a thread about this very same thing here on this forum. People who tried the sugar cube method said it would scratch it. Some advised to buy a new bottom piece from cnn.cn, the url that mckinneycm already posted. I ordered it online. It arrived shortly and I changed myself, took a minute. Still happy with it.

Wirelessly posted (Bold 9000)

Might as well try the sugar thing. Worst case scenario you scratch the piece you'll be replacing anyways.

The sugar will scratch even if you do a good job. I did it on my 8800 and ended up hating how it looked. I bought a new bottom piece. This is your best solution.

How do you remove those items? I was thinking about buying the bottom plate and my friends wants a pink trackball for her Curve.

i would definitely just buy the bottom. Or tape off and find the finest grit sand paper and rub out with a little water (just dampen the sandpaper)
